Wallflowers and Dreamers

A freshman fall dance has just ended in a small town high school cafetorium. The school custodian is cleaning up when a young teacher enters, looking for her sweater. The custodian is close to retirement. The teacher is in her first year in this school. They are alone, and as they get better acquainted, they talk about the dreams they had for themselves in their youth. They realize they have dreamed each other’s actual lives, and they begin to see new possibilities ahead, as well as appreciate what they have. In the end, the custodian gets a brainstorm.  Is it possible they can both achieve their dreams, after all?
